The owners, John Dolsen and Helmut Ermlich, Jr., have over two decades of combined experience in the outdoor industry and in association with some of the largest fishing, hunting, boating, and outdoor shows in Louisiana. Both were born and raised in the New Orleans area, avid hunters and fishermen, and are life long residents of Louisiana - the state known as "Sportsmen's Paradise".

John Dolsen has over 16 years experience in association with outdoor/sportsmen shows* in Louisiana. Prior to this, John worked for many years with the Louisiana Sportsman Magazine, Louisiana's largest outdoor/sportsmen magazine.

Helmut Ermlich, Jr. is one of the founders of Rodnreel.com and RodnGun.com, two of the premier websites for the hunting and fishing community on the Gulf Coast.

Sportsman's Expos understands the outdoor industry and produces two outstanding shows in Louisiana. We know what it takes to make an exciting and well attended event. Our motto is not "Serious Shows for Serious Sportsmen!" for nothing. You won't find carnival rides, motocross or other fillers at our shows. Our exhibitors are the best in the world.
